ABOUT US
Henry Louis Wehrle, Sr. was the prime mover behind the Kanawha Investment Company. He built the eight-story Peoples Building entirely of reinforced concrete, column-and-beam construction. Interior walls were built to the "fireproof" standards of the day.
Today, as always, we offer on-site management and hands-on customer service. Our office is in the building and we respond promptly to all tenant questions and service issues.
OUR TEAM
John Wehrle, grandson to Henry L. Wehrle Sr., has spent his entire career at Kanawha Investment Company (KIC). He has held several positions at KIC and took over as President when his mother retired in 1991. John is passionate about the Peoples Building's historical feel while updating the building to serve the needs of today's business professionals.
Robert Wehrle, great grandson to Henry L. Wehrle Sr., joined KIC in 2016 as Vice President and has quickly become an invaluable member of the team. His duties include tenant service, short and long-term maintenance and more. Rob continues the family owned and operated tradition of the Peoples Building.
Margaret Chico-Eddy joined KIC in 2014. In addition to her duties as corporate Secretary, she oversees the management of the company's residential rental properties.
